We were visiting New York from Canada. Got to know about this great sweets shop in Hicksville area by relatives What a great place to be. Their sweets (khoya barfi) are shop made and fresh. I loved the taste. We tried their Gajar halwa. Awesome ! Bapu ji at cash was super happy soul. Loved their hospitality( a complimentary masala tea) was great. Thank you Punjabi dhaba team for providing indian sweets in Ny.

As soon as walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome by professional staff. They answered all my questions and my concerns. They presented my food in a beautiful silver platter. The food was exquisite. The imli chutney with the samosa was to due for. They came and asked me if everything was fine. Truly a great example of customer service. Highly recommend everyone to come on in and experience the amazing Punjabi Dhaba.

Amazing Food and Great Atmosphere! If you are looking for very authentic Indian-Punjabi Food definitely come to Punjabi Dhaba in Hicksville. I enjoyed their Special Punjabi Thali for lunch, which comes with many great selections of vegetarian dishes and Tawa Rotis. I also ordered their Salty Lassi. reminds me of home.

Went to Punjabi Dhaba in Hicksville and absolutely loved it! The food was super authentic and delicious — felt like real home-style Punjabi cooking. Portion sizes were just right, and the lassi came in a whole jug (such a nice touch!). The owner was really kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to when I’m craving good Punjabi food.

We went here for my birthday dinner with friends and honestly it turned out to be such a comforting experience. When the owner came to know it was my birthday, he was extremely sweet and even offered to bring a cake on his own. When we said no, he gave us sweets and blessings instead. That warmth really meant a lot. The food is not restaurant or hotel style — it tastes exactly like home food, the kind you eat at your mom’s place. That’s actually what we loved most about it. Simple, comforting, and filling. We ordered chole bhatura, dahi bhalla, samosa chaat, baingan bharta, yellow moong dal tadka, garlic naan, and tandoori roti. Everything tasted fresh and portions were good. Prices are also very reasonable. If you’re looking for authentic, homestyle Indian food and genuine hospitality, this place is worth visiting.

We got the saag combo, palak paneer and dal makhni. The dal was soooo good. The food tastes yummy and homemade and absolutely love that they gave unlimited complimentary lassi. Recommended

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the utmost respect and love. The uncle at the counter is always the sweetest! Makes your day! The food is amazing. The lassi they give you when you dine in is a reminder of Punjab. The food is always made so fresh and flavorful. Real authentic punjabi food is exsctly what you get here. The workers are super attentive and make you feel like you're at home any time you go in. I would definitely recommend this place as I always dine in and take out from here.
